Visual C++ Installation Guide
If you’re experiencing issues upgrading to the latest version of B2B Soft POS, it may be due to a missing or outdated Windows component: Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable. This is not part of our POS software, but it’s a necessary Windows system component that enables B2B Soft POS to function properly.
⚠️ Important: You must have admin rights on your PC to install or update this component.
How to Check if It’s Already Installed:
Open Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features
Look for an entry called Microsoft Visual C++
If it’s listed and up to date, no further action is needed.
Installation Instructions
Install the required Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable before launching or upgrading the POS following the next steps.
Download the correct version from Microsoft: Download Visual C++
Install the downloaded file
Open it, accept the license terms, and click Install
Approve any prompts asking for admin access
Restart your PC again
Launch B2B Soft POS
Fix Instructions
Uninstall existing Visual C++ Redistributables
Open Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features
Uninstall all items named Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable
Restart your computer
Download the correct version of Visual C++ by using this link: http://aka.ms/vs/16/release/VC_redist.x86.exe
Install the downloaded file
Open it, accept the license terms, and click Install
Approve any prompts asking for admin access
Restart your PC again
Launch B2B Soft POS
The upgrade should now complete successfully
